02: Plum “Flower that signals spring”

My own memories with plums,
I only started getting interested a few years ago.

Until then, only one person has bloomed in the cold winter season,
I feel like I'm celebrating alone. Speaking of spring, it's cherry blossoms! It was something like that.

But if cherry blossoms are what we can share the warm spring with,
Plum blossoms tell us the news of spring.

We should be grateful to the plum blossoms, which bloom in the cold and swell their buds, telling us the news of spring that we are unaware of.

Plum blossoms are also a flower that appears in many poems in the Manyoshu.

Over 1200 years ago, Japanese people saw the same scenery.
I felt the news of spring.

Although we are from completely different times and cultures, if we were to meet under a plum tree, we would say, ``You're beautiful!'' and we would be able to empathize with each other.

Plums continue to connect the past and the future.
I think it is an important flower for Japanese people.

As someone who works in a creative field, this is a flower that I respect.
I also want to create a design that will be loved and remain for generations.

Thankfully, over 1000 people applied, and at first the monitor slot was limited.
From 20 people to 100 people.

Every night, I struggle with the laser processing machine that I have just started using.
We managed to produce 100 sets.

It was difficult, but my hands were ruined because I couldn't get rid of the wood smell and tar.
I was proud of my dirty hands.
